
The Morgridge Center hires new student employees every spring for the following academic year. Our student staff plays an integral role in the on-going development and delivery of the Center’s programs and resources. Many of our student positions provide a unique leadership experience and allow students to help facilitate service and learning activities with their peers.
The Morgridge Center generally seeks candidates for the various student staff positions below. Please review the full position description for details on the position and specific instructions on how to apply. Most of the positions are posted just after spring break and students are selected for the following academic year.

The Campus Liaison plays an important role in the Morgridge Center for Public Service of by providing peer advising and outreach to campus groups interested in service. This position’s main responsibilities include serving as a main point of contact for students interested in volunteering and building relationships with other campus units. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to involve more students in volunteerism, service-learning, and other civic engagement activities.
Community Liaison (Full Position Description and Application)
The Community Liaision provides a crucial function of the Morgridge Center for Public Service in working with the community and non-profit organizations. The community liaison will work to support and strengthen current partnerships with community organizations, but will also help cultivate and develop new partnerships related to the other Morgridge Center for Public Service programs, Badger Volunteers, and the 10,000 Hours Show.
Marketing Intern(Full Position Description and Application)
The Marketing Intern plays an important role in the Morgridge Center for Public Service of facilitating our promotion, marketing, and developing materials. The intern will work to market our services to three audiences: students, faculty/staff, and community agencies. The successful candidate will develop materials and implement strategies to enlist more students in our programs.
Service-Learning Fellows(Full Position Description and Application)
The role of a Service-Learning Fellow is to provide logistical support to professors/ instructional staff in the development and/or implementation a service-learningl/community-based research course. Fellows will also assist and support students enrolled in service-learning courses through orientation sessions, structured reflection exercises, etc. In addition, Fellows serve as liaison among professors, students and community organizations and a play a crucial role in providing a successful s-l/cbr experience.
Special Projects Intern(Full Position Description and Application)
The Special Projects Intern will support the work of the Civic Engagement Coordinator. The individual holding this position will be responsible for coordinating special events and our awards program. Other responsibilities include typing correspondence, tracking data, and general administrative support.
Student Organization Outreach Intern(Full Position Description and Application)
The Student Organization Outreach Coordinator plays an important role in by serving as a liaison
to registered student organizations and social fraternities and sororities. This position’s main
responsibilities include assessing how these groups are currently involved in service activities,
connecting them with opportunities to serve, and serving as a resource. The successful candidate
will develop and implement strategies to improve the connection between student organizations
and Morgridge Center, 10,000 Hours Show, WUD Community Service, and Badger Volunteer
initiatives.
Summer Projects Intern(Full Position Description and Application)
The Summer Projects Intern will play an important role in helping the Morgridge Center for Public Service
accomplish specialized tasks over the summer in preparation for the fall. This position will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks including working with non-profit organizations, event planning, and supporting volunteer programs.
