Our Programs

Badger Volunteers

Teams of UW students sign up to volunteer at participating community organizations on a weekly basis for an entire semester.

Wisconsin Idea Fellowships

Projects are designed and implemented by an undergraduate student in collaboration with a community group and a faculty to meet a community need. Stipends and credit are provided.

Service-Learning & Community-based Research

UW offers over 50 service-learning courses every year. These credit-bearing courses engage students in service activities at non-profit agencies while gaining further understanding of course content.

Wisconsin Idea Exchange

This on-line database is designed to help community groups and UW-Madison faculty and staff connect and create collaborative service-learning and community based research projects.

Volunteer Transportation Program

This program provides free taxis rides for students who volunteer through the Morgridge Center at non-profits that are off a busline or beyond a transfer point.
