Other Services

There are various other ways to partner with the university:

  • Service-Learning-is a teaching methodology that combines community service and learning. Faculty members choose to incorporate a service-learning component, partner with a non-profit agency, and facilitate in-class reflection actives to connect the student’s service to learning.
  • Community Based Research, involves students and faculty to engage in research that will benefit a community organization or address a public issue. Through research collaboratively carried out under close faculty mentorship, students develop research skills and deepen their understanding of research as service.

  • Wisconsin Idea Undergraduate Fellowships, provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to use and expand their knowledge through service-learning/community-based research projects with community organizations.   Agencies can submit project ideas to our office during the fall.
