The Madison Area Down Syndrome Society (MADSS) 7th Annual Buddy Walk!
Saturday, September 13th, at Mallards Stadium.
The purpose of the Walk is to give people with Down syndrome and their families a day to celebrate all the joy and richness in their lives without worrying about therapy, medical concerns, or any of the challenges they face day to day. MADSS is a local resource for people with Down syndrome and their families. MADSS provides support and information while cultivating awareness, respect and opportunity for those in our community affected by Down syndrome.
Volunteers Needed For Saturday, September 13th.
730-930am: Event Set-Up, heavy lifting required!
9:00-11:00am: Registration
11am-1pm: Food Prep/Serving
9am-2pm: Family Fun Activities (direct kid activities, help with jumphouse/adventure course)
12:30-2:30pm: Take-down/Clean-up, heavy lifting required!
All volunteers recieve a free t-shirt and lunch!

Road Runner with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County
Habitat for Humanity of Dane County is recruiting "Road Runner" volunteers to assist with:
Transferring tools, materials, and supplies to its various build sites in Dane County.
Volunteers are needed any day between Tuesday and Saturday during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Individuals must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, have a "clean" driving record. HFHDC will provide the vehicle.

The South Madison Coalition for the Elderly helps older adults remain independent in their own homes. Volunteering a few hours a month can make a difference in the lives of older adults in our community!
